DIY duct tape iPad 2 smart case
This is a homemade iPad 2 case that I made out of duct tape, thin abs plastic, rare earth magnets, aluminum and some felt. I got the idea from coregeek.net. This is the “prototype” but I plan on making it out of leather in the next few weeks. It utilizes the features of apples smart case. Opening the folio will wake the iPad and closing it will put it to sleep. It’s held in place my magnets. Inside is lined with felt to prevent scratching.
