how about an actual tablet COMPUTER and not just an oversized overpowered ipod…even a regular ass notebook beats the ipad

Been looking for a tablet pc that I can animate Flash cartoons in, have not found one video that shows someone doing this. Looking for a Wacom Cintiq in mobile form. Stats show it’s possible on today’s models, but these tablets look like they’re made for light-use, not heavy drawing or daily use of the pen. Are they still a gimmick, or do they have the guts for animators?

from The Matrix…this is your last chance…after this, there is no going back. You take the ipad…and you can do…whatever Steve Jobs says that you can do. You take the Adam by Notion Ink…and you find out just how far the tablet format can go.
That would be something like archos 7 but with keyboard where I can touch type. Something like Lifebook u2020 but thinner. Something I could read books comfortably while on a bus and at the same time should be able to use it as a netbook when I get to my desk and type on it comfortably. Do you know anything like it?

My dream tablet computer would be: – 7-9 inch screen – Android & market place
– 10h+ battery for wifi/3g web browsing – Ability to use 3G data from my phone contracts (standard SIM slot (not microsim)) – Ability of note taking with stylist – Ability to dual boot to a linux distro (Ubuntu?) – Pixel Qi screen – USB ports, docks – $300 price tag
@davemtl66 and whats the point if Ipad has same OS like mac?? Still the Ipad doesnt support Flash media.. you will say bout html5? fuck that, Im Ipad user but I only consider my Ipad as book.. nothing less or more.. only a book and you cant compare it with Tablet PC out there.. because its stupid
BTW, the iPhone OS is MAC OS X… like on the mac. As for the competition. why is it taking so long? Yes at CES you saw plenty of units but where are they??? What’s so hard to copy? Simple, the concept! We should use different terms for keyboardless notebooks and tablets like the iPad is.

You’re cute and very entertaining. 
I can hardly wait to buy the iPad. I wrote to you earlier and I mentioned that I got an iPad, but now I can honestly say, with the lack of flash and lack of camera and no flash cardthe HP Slate will kick its butt. Don’t get me wronge, the iPad is gorgeous and I certainly can’t complain since I won mine through bidsWOW.com which was amazing. So HP hurry up with the Slate!
